The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and Mercer County Moose Lodge 2718 have joined forces to implement the EZ Child ID program, a powerful tool designed to expedite the search and recovery of missing children. By providing parents and guardians with a comprehensive identification kit, this initiative empowers families to act quickly in a crisis, providing crucial information to law enforcement within moments.
EZ Child ID Kit Features:
- Pre-Interview Form: Capture vital details like physical descriptions, distinguishing marks, and recent photos.
- Video Recorded Interview: Preserve voice recognition information and provide a visual record of the child’s appearance and mannerisms.
- Digital Fingerprints: Securely collect fingerprints for immediate comparison and identification purposes.
- Photographs: Multiple photographs of the participant can be taken – front, left, and right face and the back of the head.
- Medical ID: There is an option to record critical medical information, including blood type, medications, and emergency contacts.
- Portable USB Drive: All collected data is compiled onto a USB drive, given to the parent, guardian, or custodian for immediate handover to authorities during an emergency.
