The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the United States Marshals CUFFED Task Force, conducted a county-wide warrant roundup resulting in 38 arrests.
The operation was carried out on Wednesday, February 18, as law enforcement officers worked to locate individuals wanted on outstanding warrants throughout Mercer County.
The arrests involved a wide range of alleged offenses, including domestic offenses, child abuse and neglect, theft and property crimes, drug offenses, fraud, battery, fleeing, and failures to appear. Several individuals were also taken into custody as fugitives wanted by authorities in neighboring Tazewell County, Virginia.
The operation demonstrates the continued cooperation between local and federal law enforcement agencies in locating wanted individuals and addressing outstanding criminal warrants in Mercer County.
