The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department reported a busy Wednesday for its day shift deputies, with numerous calls for service and enforcement activity taking place throughout the county.
By Wednesday afternoon, deputies had made at least nine arrests, responded to multiple motor vehicle crashes, executed search warrants, handled DUI-related incidents, and served a mental health evaluation order, in addition to responding to other calls for assistance.
The steady activity reflects the wide range of situations Mercer County deputies may encounter during a typical shift. From criminal investigations and traffic enforcement to emergency response and mental health-related calls, deputies continue to respond wherever their assistance is needed.
Even with an already active day, calls for service continued throughout the afternoon.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is also currently accepting applications for new deputies.
