The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of scam where individuals are stating they are a member of the Sheriff’s Office (Specifically Chief Ruble) and need individual to send money in order to take care of a warrant. At no time will this law enforcement agency or any other law enforcement agency contact you asking for payment to take care of a warrant. This is not how that process works.
