Arrests Made in Mountaineer Storage Stolen Property Investigation

On February 20th the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office received 11 separate B&E complaints regarding stolen property from Mountaineer Storage located on Oakvale Road, Princeton. Through a quick and thorough investigation, two suspects were identified. Ray Mowrer, 41 of Kegley and David Nelson, 30 of Matoaka were arrested on February 23rd and charged with 11 counts of Breaking and Entering, Grand Larceny, Destruction of Property, Receiving/Transferring Stolen Property, and Conspiracy. The investigation resulted in several search warrants being executed with a large amount stolen property being located, documented, and returned to the victims. This investigation is still on going with many man hours being spent attempting to identify further coconspirators and locating additional property. This investigation is being led by Corporal L.L Addair.
